Yes, forever. The entire local engine (reads, search, AST, shell compression, MCP tools, read modes, personas, plugins) is Apache-2.0 and runs without an account. Paid plans never gate a local feature; they only add team coordination, hosting, scale and governance.

Pro ($9/month or $90/year) is your Personal Cloud: a hosted, account-bound service that syncs and backs up your own learned context (knowledge & memory, shell patterns, CEP scores, gotchas and more) across every device you work on. It also includes the Hosted Personal Index (1 GB): push your project’s retrieval index once and a fresh machine gets working semantic search in seconds, with bundles encrypted end-to-end so the server only ever stores ciphertext. Supporter is a voluntary tip that funds development and grants recognition only (a badge), never a capability. Pro is for an individual who wants their own context everywhere; Team is for sharing one audited context across people.

A shared, audited context plane: one workspace your whole team and your CI agents query, with role-based access (viewer / member / admin / owner), a full audit log of every access and a live shared event stream, plus a hosted retrieval index with a usage dashboard, managed GitHub/GitLab connectors and a private extension & persona registry. It is purely additive: your local setup keeps working exactly as before. Marketplace revenue share is on the roadmap and labelled as such on the plan.

Yes. The team server is production-ready and you can self-host it for free (Apache-2.0). Prefer managed hosting? The moment your Team checkout completes we provision your private team server for you. From then on you manage everything (server URL, owner token, member seats with role-based access) yourself from your account dashboard under Account → Team.

Team is per seat: $18/seat/month (or $180/seat/year, ~17% off). You pick how many seats you need (1–25) at checkout; afterwards you add or remove anytime, prorated to the day. Business is a flat $149/month (or $1,490/year) covering up to 50 seats — no per-seat math, one predictable line item. Both plans include a hosted team server provisioned at checkout.

Nothing breaks. The hosted retrieval index includes 5 GB; beyond that, storage is metered at $0.25/GB per month and billed through Stripe alongside your seats. Your account dashboard shows live usage against the quota, and we email the team owner at 50%, 80% and 100%, so there are never surprise bills. Prefer no metered storage at all? Self-host the team server (Apache-2.0) and you own the disk.

OIDC SSO (Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace) is included in Business ($149/mo) — self-serve, no sales call needed. If you need SAML SSO + SCIM provisioning for automated seat management, fleet policies, or 10-year audit retention, that’s the Enterprise tier (negotiated, contact sales). Yes — at the Enterprise tier, an optional Success Fee lets you pay a capped share of verified savings instead of (or alongside) the per-seat platform fee. Savings are metered by the local engine into an Ed25519-signed, hash-chained ledger; lean-ctx savings verify proves the total end to end. The fee is capped at 50% of your actual bill reduction, with a floor equal to your platform fee, billed quarterly after a 2–4 week calibration period. You verify every number offline before paying.
